Charlottetown (PE) – August 24, 2011 – DiscoveryGarden Inc. is pleased to announce it has signed a partnership agreement with the “Modernist Versions Project” (MVP) housed in the English Department at the University of Victoria (UVic). Through this partnership DiscoveryGarden will help build a digital asset management system that enables collating and comparing modernist texts that exist in multiple variants. According to Stephen Ross, English Professor at UVic and co-director of MVP, “With this Agreement, the MVP becomes one of the most exciting and innovative projects in the Digital Humanities”.
DiscoveryGarden provides services for the “Islandora” software MVP will use to create its digital asset management system. The customizability and functionality of Islandora is key to ensuring the MVP’s system will contain the features they desire.
