Training Session for Washington Power Users

On a recent trip to Washington DC, discoverygarden's Alan Stanley had the opportunity to meet with members of the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) to offer them, and their guests, some specialized training.
WRLC administrators are all very familiar with the mechanics of digital repository management. This session focused on a review of the backend architecture. The results included knowledge to make better-informed choices when organizing and displaying collections, and an awareness of some the less obvious, but very powerful features of the Islandora ecosystem.
The two-hour session was lively and interactive with many good comments, questions and suggestions.
Special thanks go to our generous host Aaron Krebeck for setting us up, providing the venue, and making us all feel welcome.

Our next training session will be offered free of charge at the Texas Conference on Digital Libraries April 27-28, 2015. We hope to see you there!
