Islandora is a free and open source digital repository framework based on Drupal, Solr and a host of additional applications.

History

Islandora is open source software and was originally developed at the University of Prince Edward Island by the Robertson Library. If you would like to learn more about Islandora please visit islandora.ca.

Islandora can be used to create large, searchable collections of digital assets, it has a highly modular architecture with a number of key features that make it attractive to libraries, museums and cultural institutions worldwide.
